Home Invasion Stopped When Home Invader's Own Kids Recognize Him

These first two stories aren’t cases case of armed self defense, but they are too funny to ignore. Raul Gaucin-Valenzuela intended to help a friend beat up the new boyfriend of the friend's ex-wife in Greeley Colorado.

Raul put a bandana over his face to disguise himself, but what he didn’t know was that the friend’s ex-wife was babysitting Raul’s own children. His kids recognized him, even though he was wearing the disguise. His bandana also slipped off a few times during the break in, which didn't help Raul.

He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, two counts of menacing, second degree burglary, and child abuse because he broke into a home where children were present. He is being held on $21,000 bond.

In Memphis, It was a bad day for Dartanelle Palmore, who  went to burglarize Pedro Kennedy’s home. Kennedy was allegedly set up for the burglary by Wynesha Johnson.

Dartanelle hid outside the home until he forced his way into the home by attacking Kennedy. Kennedy defended himself with a staple gun and gave the thug gashes, a cut face, and a black eye. Police arrested Palmore and Johnson.

And in Houston, Police gave sketchy details of a robbery gone bad for the culprits.  A neighbor of a homeowner who was being robbed by four armed men outside the victim’s  home shot at the robbers, hitting at least one. The robber was killed. The three surviving robbers exchanged shots with the neighbor as they ran from the scene of the robbery. It is not known if any of the other robbers were hit. They have not been arrested yet. Neither neighbor was hurt.
