Homeowner Kills Burglar Who Was Carrying a Sword and A Gun

An Oklahoma man stopped a burglar who held a sword and a gun in the man’s Turley home as he was burglarizing it. The homeowner heard a sound from his bedroom and confronted a burglar there who was carrying the weapons. The homeowner warned the intruder to back off, but he advanced toward him instead. The homeowner fired once at the thug, hitting him and knocking him to the floor. The burglar tired to aim his gun at the homeowner from the floor, but he was shot again, this time fatally. The homeowner is a concealed handgun permit holder. He will not be charged.

In Deland, Florida:

A home owner saw someone’s legs sticking out of his son’s bedroom window as he drove into the home’s driveway. Daven Woulard, a concealed handgun permit holder, drew his sidearm and went into his home to confront the home invader.

He caught a teenager who was going to burglarize the home. He then told the teen to leave the house. Jarrett Holliman, age 16, got out of the window and tried to run after being told to lie down. Mr. Woulard fired a shot into the ground and told the teen that the the next shot would be aimed at him if he tried to run again. Woulard took him to the end of the driveway where they waited for police to arrive in minutes when seconds count. Holliman was taken to Volusia County Jail where he was charged with burglary.

In Oklahoma:

A businessman found a burglary in progress on his property. Steve Ray, the owner of the “Past Time Mini Museum,” which displayed mining artifacts, was able to hold one of the burglars for police. The three Museum burglars had been in town visiting a friend who was in drug rehab in Picher, Oklahoma, the scene of the burglary. The burglars were in their early twenties.

Ray had seen a vehicle in the alley behind his museum. He took his 9mm pistol to the back door, which had been forced open. He followed two of the burglars to their car. When the burglars tried to drive off, Ray shot the engine three times and shot out all the tires. Ray was able to hold one of the burglars at gunpoint. Police found property belonging to another local property owner in the getaway car.
