There was what appears to be a shooting accident on Saturday at a gun show in Bloomington, Illinois. A rifle went off as a person attending the show put it down on a vendor’s table. The bullet hit wood and two persons were hit by flying wood. One person had small wounds from the flying wood and refused medical treatment. But, another man was hit by the flying wood and what is believed to be a .223 round. The bullet went through his arm and then struck another person.
One of the victims was reported to be in critical condition at a local hospital. Tests will be done to determine if the bullet came from the rifle. The bullet was recovered.
The show resumed after the injured left the building. At least one state has criminal penalties for accidental discharge of firearms at gun shows. There's an explanation of Arizona's law below. A visitor at the gun show turned on his cell phone camera right after the shooting. Here’s the video...
Here's what one state's Attorney general had to say after an accidental discharge at a gun show in Arizona and the penalty for guns being fired at gun shows.

TO: ALL GUN SHOW PRODUCERS AND ALL CALIFORNIA FIREARMS DEALERS
A recent accidental discharge of a firearm at a gun show dramatically emphasizes the
importance for strict gun show producer and vendor adherence to the provisions of Penal Code
sections 12071.1 and 12071.4.
Penal Code section 12071.4, subdivision (a) (5):
states that all gun show vendors shall certify in writing to the gun show producer that they, “Will verify that all firearms in their possession at the show or event will be unloaded, and that the firearms will be secured in a manner that prevents them from being operated except for brief periods when the mechanical condition of a firearm is being demonstrated to a prospective buyer.”
While this mandate permits the vendor to briefly unsecure a firearm in order to demonstrate its mechanical condition, vendor firearms must remain unloaded at all times during the gun show.
Penal Code section 12071.1, subdivision (j) states that the gun show producer shall be
responsible for informing prospective gun show vendors of the requirements of Penal Code sections 12071.1 and 12071.4 that apply to vendors.
Moreover, Penal Code section 12071.1, subdivision
(l) states that if a licensed firearms dealer fails to cooperate with a producer or fails to comply with
the applicable requirements of Sections 12071.1 and 12071.4, the gun show producer shall not
allow that person to participate in the gun show.
The gun show producer must also ensure that members of the general public comply with
important security mandates imposed by Penal Code section 12071.4. The gun show producer
must provide sufficient oversight to ensure that each member of the general public bringing a
firearm into the gun show does not also possess ammunition for that firearm.
The gun show producer must also ensure that all weapons brought to the show by the public are checked, cleared of any ammunition, and secured in a manner that prevents them from being operated. The gun show producer must also ensure that each individual bringing firearms to the gun show completes and signs an identification tag or sticker and attaches it to the firearm.
A violation of the responsibilities mandated by Penal Code section 12071.4 is a crime,
punishable by a fine. Knowing violations, or second, or subsequent violations can be punished by a fine and up to one year in jail. (Penal Code section 12071.4, subdivision l).
For the purpose of Penal Code section 12071.4, “secured in a manner that prevents them
from being operated” means a firearm must be secured in such a manner to ensure than it cannot
be readily operated by any person at the gun show. The fastening of a hard plastic strap through the action of the firearm preventing the firearm’s operation will meet this requirement.
Merely tying the hammer back with a string would fail this requirement. All Gun Show Producers and All California Firearms Dealers Gun Show Safety and Security Responsibilities
In order to ensure the safety of all gun show participants, it is essential that gun show
producers and gun show vendors fully adhere to all the requirements of Penal Code sections
12071.1 and 12071.4. DOJ enforcement personnel will vigorously enforce firearms safety and
security requirements at gun shows.

Rep. Sterns Offers National Right To Carry Reciprocity Act
Although a similar bill failed not long ago, A Florida Republican and a North Carolina Congressman are gearing up for another try. Here's Florida Representative Sterns announcement. STEARNS OFFERS NATIONAL RIGHT-TO-CARRY RECIPROCITY ACT PROTECTS THE RIGHT OF CITIZENS TO DEFEND THEMSELVES Washington, Feb 23 - “The right to self defense is unquestionable and the right to carry a firearm is recognized in our Constitution,” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL). “Today, 48 states have laws permitting concealed carry of a firearm in some circumstances, and this legislation would allow any person with a valid state-issued concealed firearm carry permit or license to carry a concealed handgun in any other state.” Stearns, joined by Rep. Health Shuler (D-NC), offered H.R. 822, the National Right-To-Carry Reciprocity Act. Noted Stearns, “It is important to note this bill would not create a federal licensing system. It would merely require states to recognize each other’s carry permits, just as they recognize drivers` licenses and carry permits held by armored car guards.” Forty states, accounting for two-thirds of the U.S. population, have right-to-carry laws. Thirty-six have "shall issue" permit laws (including Alaska, which also allows carrying without a permit), three have fairly administered "discretionary issue" permit laws, and Vermont allows carrying without a permit. (Eight states have restrictive discretionary issue laws.) Most right-to-carry states have adopted their laws in the last decade. Added Stearns, “Citizens with carry permits are more law-abiding than the general public. In my home state of Florida, only 0.01% of nearly 1.2 million permits issued have been revoked because of firearm crimes by permit holders. States with right-to-carry laws have lower violent crime rates. According to FBI figures, on average the rate is 22% lower for total violent crime, 30% lower for murder, 46% lower for robbery, and 12% lower for aggravated assault, compared to the rest of the country.” Visit: secondamendmentfreedom.blogspot.com BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA MOST WANTED |

Police Officer Jumped and Kicked By Two Men- Attack Recorded On Dash Video
An Ohio policeman is recovering from an attack and injuries inflicted by a motorist and his brother. The attack was captured on the police car’s dash camera. Sgt. Jason Davis and an officer in another unit were responding to an unsafe driving call for the motorist’s truck. Davis turned on his overheads and his video camera and the driver pulled into a speedway station. The other officer went on to answer another call. The motorist’s brother also pulled into the gas station.
Based on his observations of the driver, Davis tried to administer a roadside sobriety test and the driver refused. The officer called for a back-up, but the call did not go through. The man’s brother, who arrived, initially tried to calm the man being questioned. The officer concentrated on the argumentative driver.
The officer believed he was in danger by the man’s actions and he used his stun gun on him. The brother grabbed the officer from the back around the neck and threw him to the ground. Both brothers hit and stomped the policeman until two good Samaritans arrived and stopped the attack.
Both men are charged with felonious assault and have a $100,000 bond. See the video below.
Meanwhile, in Detroit:
A pizza delivery driver was approached by three men and one pulled a handgun Sunday night. The driver pulled his own handgun and killed the armed robber. The other two men ran away. The driver had a concealed handgun carry permit.
And, in Louisiana:
Two men tried to rob a jewelry store, but the owner shot and seriously wounded the masked man who was trying to rob him. The men entered the store and smashed display cases. A man checked into a hospital shortly after the shooting with a gunshot wound. He is believed to be the robber who was shot.
The other robber has not been captured yet.

Here’s The Latest British Police Advice On How To Stop Burglars
Monty Python would have been proud of the advice given to a Surrey resident about how to stop potential burglars. Englishman, David Bishop, is a former British Broadcasting Corporation engineer, and he has thousands invested in electronic equipment at his home. He went to a community meeting with police about a rash of home burglaries in his neighborhood recently. He told officers that he was concerned that his property could be stolen.
Police had usually told homeowners in the area that has been hard hit by burglaries to not use homemade deterrents such as putting wire mesh around windows because burglars could hurt themselves and sue for damages. They advised to use strong locks.
But, Bishop was given the following advice about to keep it safe from burglars. He should create a sign telling burglars that they could be accidentally electrocuted if they stole the equipment or tried to use it in the storage area at the home. Some of the equipment carries up to 30,000 volts. He was specifically advised to put up a fluorescent sign that warned burglars that they could be “In danger.” According to the Telegraph, he was counseled by the Bobbies to use a yellow sign that said, “Warning, Electrical Tools,” and for those who couldn’t read, add a lightning bolt to the sign. The sign should be fluorescent because most burglaries are nighttime jobs.
Police refused comment about the sign when approached by local news media.
Why not just put up a sign saying valuable goods are stored inside, just be careful if you take them. This sign should be as effective as keeping criminals with guns out of "Gun Free Brady Zones"
WARNING! This Screen Mesh is Extremely Dangerous to Burglars
However, In Chicago:
A Chicago area woman didn’t depend on a sign to stop a burglar who entered her south side home. She heard breaking glass, grabbed her gun, and confronted two burglars inside the home. Her shots wounded one man and the other died. An autopsy is scheduled. She won’t be charged for the killing because the man who was wounded threatened the woman with a tire iron. But, it is not known if she possessed the proper permit to have a gun in her home.

Fifty Three Killed In Juarez In Three Days And There's No End In Sight
Are El Paso residents in denial about the daily war and slaughter going on just across the river?
And, just why is Obama ignoring the war just across the river from the United States? It is past time to seal off our borders. Juarez Mexico morgues literally ran out of room for the bodies last week, and violence is creeping across our border.
The Juarez and the Sinaloa cartels are behind the slaughter.
In one of the deadliest three days on record, fifty three people were killed in possible narco related murders. Fourteen people, including a police officer were killed Thursday. Twenty people were killed Friday, including an assassinated policeman and a state police investigator
On Saturday, a highway policeman was shot ten times. Eighteen others were also murdered in separate shootings. Juarez averages eight murders a day, and twenty four women have been killed in the last twenty days.
And, parents should think twice before funding their college student’s spring break in Acapulco. Acapulco might not be the best place for spring breakers to be as violence escalates after thirteen cab drivers have been killed there since Friday. Drug traffickers are suspected.
