Man Shoots Pit Bull In Self Defense


George Doughty shot and killed a Pit Bull that was charging toward him and the dog he was walking. 
He also shot the Rottweiler that also charged him. It was not the first time that the dogs had attacked his dog. It was injured previously. The Pit bull's owner believes that the shootings were the result of prior disagreements with the man. The dogs had apparently escaped from the owner's residence. 


 Kentucky Home Invasion Stopped 

A Rineyville woman shot a man as he broke out a kitchen window and yelled threats. 18 year old Scott Pucket, was stopped when Loretta Hawkins shot him in the head with a 22 as he attempted to enter the home. She was in the home with three infants and her 21 year old son. Puckett may have known the son. She probably will not be charged, but the case is being reviewed by the prosecutor's office. 

Sacramento Concealed handgun Permits Soar Under New Sheriff

Sacramento County California Concealed Handgun Permits soar under new Sheriff. New Sheriff Scott Jones believes that permit holders are law abiding, and are good risks. 175 permits have been signed by the Sheriff so far this year compared to 12 this time last year. Olly 67 were issued in the County last year. Another 200 are being processed. 21 have been denied so far this year. 
The Sheriff made a campaign promise to be more permissive in granting permits in a state where officials "may issue" permits. They are not required to issue any.
