Axe Wielding Burglar Slices His Leg... An Accomplice With Him On Second Later Burglary Shot In Buttocks

An axe wielding burglar has been sentenced on two felonies to two 90 day terms in the county jail as part of a 23 month delayed sentence. They will be served concurrently. He also got ten years probation. He was sentenced for two separate burglaries within one block of his own home. This extremely lenient sentence was given to Koal Timothy Shamp in Otter County, Minnesota District Court last week. In the first burglary, he took an axe to the wall of a rental unit after breaking in.

In this first break in, his ineptness in trying to break down the sheetrock walls with the axe caused him to cut himself in the leg . He left when he cut himself. His blood was splattered on the wall.

This man was also connected with another home invasion several hours later. A homeowner heard Shamp and a friend using a crowbar to break into his home. The homeowner feared for his life and shot at the men. Shamp’s hapless accomplice was hit in the buttocks.

The duo left a trail in the wet grass leading to Shamp’s neighbor’s house, where the neighbor connected the two to the attempted burglary.

In Oahu:

Three men carrying cable ties and holding guns broke into a home and ordered two of the occupants to lock all the doors. They turned their attention to a third occupant of the residence. That resident scuffled with the home invaders and tried to disarm them. But the scuffle ended when the third resident was shot.

However, when one of the home invaders pointed his gun at another of one the victims, she drew her own gun and shot him. There was a brief gunfight as the home invaders ran to a getaway car.  All three home invaders were shot, with one left in critical condition.

A similar home invasion robbery took place at the same house in February.
